About Us
Stories without boundaries.
Shooting Star Studios is an independent production company creating and producing original work rooted in human truth.
We are drawn to stories with a distinctive voice and something meaningful to say - stories that can transcend borders, cultures and perspectives while remaining deeply connected to the people at their centre. From the first idea to the final production, we bring together creative ambition, rigorous development and thoughtful collaboration to make work that is original, bold and honest.
Our work begins in theatre, with an ambition to build a home for exceptional original storytelling across stage and screen.
Our
Story
Who gets to be at the centre of the story?
For too long, the centre of our stories has reflected only a fraction of the world we live in. We created Shooting Star Studios to widen that frame -- for stories where identity opens possibilities rather than limits them.
The story is human before it is anything else.
Our
Approach
Story first. Always.
We begin with the story.
We ask what it needs to become its strongest expression.
We develop with curiosity, courage and rigour.
We bring together the right people for the work.
Every creative decision is made in service of the story.
Our
Purpose
To widen the world of possibility.
To create stories that bring people closer.
To cross cultures without erasing what makes them distinct.
To challenge assumptions about whose stories can feel universal.
To leave audiences seeing something or someone differently.
Human connection is our North Star.
Our Team
One purpose. Many perspectives.
